Allison 3 Year Portraits

I finally got around to taking Allison's portraits today since she's now 3; I'm just a couple of months late taking them...

Orlando!

We had a great time in Orlando at the end of last month. We spent a little bit of time at the resort, but spent the majority of the time at Disney World. The kids liked the swimming at the resort and luckily we took them one of the first days when it was still warm. We had a few pretty chilly and rainy days while we were there.

The kids also had a lot of fun at the miniature golf course and playground at the resort.
The kids met about every character that they have there and some of them several times. We did see a few characters that we'd never seen before like the UP characters, Princess Tiana, Mike from Monsters Inc, Pinocchio, etc.
Oh and even the evil step mom and step sisters from Cinderella. Allison wasn't sure what to think of them at first, but thought the one in pink wasn't too scary and she actually smiled for a picture with them. Matthew was a good sport and went up to see some of the princesses. Some of them he refused to see, but Cinderella & Ariel talked him into giving them a hug. He's going to love these pictures when he's older...
We have a Disney credit card and they do special character meet and greets for card members. The kids loved that one because they were able to spend quite a bit of time with Minnie and Goofy and even dance with them.

Oh, here's another dancing picture of the kid's in front of the castle. Allison even got Dave to dance with her. She's definitely the only girl on the planet that could get him to do that, including me. :)
We ate breakfast at the Tusker House with Donald and friends at the Animal Kingdom.

The Animal Kingdom also had a good parade,An ostrich that blocked our safari jeep for a little bit on the safari ride,
and my favorite part, an AMAZING view of a tiger that was luckily behind very thick glass.

I was able to go on most of the rides with every one since our kids still mostly just do the little kiddo rides. Our favorite was Toy Story Mania and apparently every one else loves that ride too because the ride wait at one point was 80 minutes! No, we didn't end up waiting that long for any of the times that we went on it thanks to timing and fast passes. Here's a picture of Allison on the ride. I'm sure the people next to us loved my flash going off in the middle of the ride. :)Dave also took the kids on a few rides that I couldn't go on. He took them both on the Barnstormer roller coaster and Matthew went on Fast Track at Epcot. Well, I'm sure I've bored you all enough. We did have a lot of fun and all came back pretty worn out.

The Home Depot

Matthew loves to build things. Dave signed him up for a class at Home Depot yesterday to build a rain gauge and Matthew was in heaven. He wore his Home Depot apron all day and is wearing it again today. I guess I know what we'll be doing the first Saturday of each month.

Allison turns 3!

Allison turned 3 on Saturday. We decided to take her to Jungle Jim's for her birthday, which is an indoor place that has rides similar to the kiddie rides at Lagoon. Allison & Matthew had SO much fun there. Allison got over being sad that her friends were not there for her brithday 'party' really quickly once she got on the first ride. I'm not sure why she thought she was having a birthday party this year with friends...after all, she's only 3.

This one is the only ride that Matthew would not go on. It was way too fast for him. It was just like the musical express at Lagoon and I'm certain that it would have made me sick. Allison loved it though. After a few hours there, we went out to eat. And Matthew actually tried pizza. Amazing! So amazing that I had to take a picture!
Allison loved eating her cake and we ended the day watching a movie of her favorite princess, Snow White.

Christmas Lights

Last night we had dinner at my Mom's condo with my family. After Dave & I decided to take the kids to see the Christmas lights at temple square. It was REALLY cold; it's a good thing my Mom's condo is so close!

Daddy's Home!

Dave has today off of work and the kid's are in heaven! Me too, since I have to work and have a hubby and a 4 wheeler to entertain two kiddos who are extremely hyper and excited for Christmas. Merry Christmas Eve to all of you!
