Halloween...A Little Late

This past week was really busy with work, so here's my Halloween post...a little late. We had a lot of fun Halloween week. My in-law's did a Halloween party the Sunday before & the kids had a lot of fun making pumpkins & decorating cookies. We also went to our church trunk-or-treat and gave out candy multiple times to the same kids. On Halloween I took the kids up to see my Mom & then we went trick-or-treating that night. The kids had a lot of fun & I've been eating way too much of their candy.

One:
Pet peeve---Crusty dried food on dishes should never occur ...really, it's not that hard to rinse them off before it turns into concrete. Luckily my hubby agrees.

Two:
I could spend all day designing stuff in Photoshop...if only I had time to do it.

Three:
I LOVE to sleep. It takes total discipline for me to get myself out of bed and start working each morning.

Four:
If I had magic, I would make clothes fold themselves. I hate it.

Five:
I sing to myself ALL the time. I blame my Mom for it. :) I probably drive those around me crazy, although no one has ever told me to my face.

Six:
I admit, I have stinky feet. Seriously, I can go through a pair of slippers in no time. I think my son has inherited the stinky gene...poor kid.

This week has been SO nice. I decided to get a few fall pictures of the kids at my new favorite spot. Thought I'd share! Matthew even smiled for me (although it did take some bribery--the kid LOVES smarties).

Brother's Fam

Mom's Condo

My brother is a saint. He's spent hours helping my Mom get rid of nasty cottage cheese ceilings in her new condo. What were people thinking back in the 70s! He's become an expert with plaster, but I'm sure he'll be happy when he can put the trowel down. I spent a few hours this week helping prep a wall that used to have paneling...yet another 70s mistake. I'm just glad that stuff was only on one wall. Thank you to the hubby's parents & awesome hubby for watching the munchkins so I could go. Oh, and some pics. Notice how my SIL has a smile, even when painting. :)

It seems like lately one of our fences is always in need of fixing. And we have A LOT of fence since we're on 1/2 an acre... Even with Dave's willing 'helpers', he got it finished it tonight (well, almost). Here's some pictures of his handy helpers. And I learned an important lesson about concrete and posts, although that is another topic.

Pumpkin Patch

Well, I've decided tackle a blog since my SIL suggested that I start one. We'll see if I can keep up with it regularly!







































We went to Gardner Village today & also a pumpkin patch with my hubby's brother & his family. Gardner Village is WAY cute right now with all of their decorations. Excellent spot for taking pictures. Despite some whining, I still had fun, and was able to get my fill for the day of taking pictures (yes, I'm aware that I'm a little obsessed with it...I blame it on my Dad's blood).

The kids favorite was definitely the tractors at the pumpkin patch. We had to pry them off of the things.
